About 25 in attendance.
I used personal invitations to attract my residents. This was my best program so far. I had tried this program out my first semester as an RA and also had a great turn out. It attracts those who are not normally willing to come to programs, and the girls who do show up meet their neighbors and sit around talking for about an hour. (This is the invitation I used at the first time I presented this program in Spring 2011).
I would recommend this program to any new RA who would like to get to know their residents, and especially if they say their floor lacks community. Chocolate wins the soul over every time. This can easily be presented with hot chocolate, and Hershey’s chocolate laid out. I had to go cups and napkins and let residents come and hang out or leave if they wanted. I feel that for this program residents should not be required to stay unless games are being presented as well. I however did not present games other than an icebreaker to meet everyone. This program invited my residents as well as others on different floors.
